The 2015 SIS Year end Race just held last Sunday at Sunter International Speedway, Jakarta Indonesia. Some 70 plus entries join the race in 3 classes. Mini Class, FWD Class and the most popular Touring 13.5T Boosted Class. This year we have overseas guest Azri Amri from Malaysia to join the race and share with fellow XRAY drivers his setup and RC experience.
The race format consist of 5 heats and 3 Finals with 3 best out of 5 heats by point system and 2 best finals counted. Traction is considered high with sunny weather for the 2 days race duration.
Saturday consist of 4 heats with Azri Amri leading the first 2 heats, followed by Bowie taking the 3rd and 4th heats. Suwardi secured his 3rd position from Peter Anthonisz and M. Izzah, while several drivers still contending for the rest of top ten positions.
In Final A1, Azri Amri took the lead followed by Suwardi after Bowie spun out in lap 2, but he managed to recover and took 2nd position from Suwardi at 4 minutes mark. In the end Azri Amri win the first leg followed by Bowie and Suwardi 2 seconds behind him.
In Final A2, Suwardi took over the lead at early stage after both front cars made mistakes. Azri have to retire early due to crash with other driver. Suwardi traction rolled while defending his position from Bowie and both car made contact which gave Peter advantage to lead over the rest. In last few laps, both Peter and Bowie made hard contact and Fayakhun took over the lead and win the 2nd final with Peter and Suwardi at 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In Final A3, Azri Amri and Suwardi change positions for the lead, but another traction roll from Suwardi at 3 minute mark gave Azri a comfortable lead for the rest of the run. He finished first and took the title followed by Suwardi 1.5secs behind him and Heri Susanto.
In B Main, young 10 years old Cliff Anderson showing great talent with his T4-2016 took 2nd podium title after Christian Abang followed by Arya Seta.
While in C Main, Yusuf with his T4-2015 took the 1st podium title followed by Dede SP and Erwin. The race was closed with prize ceremony and doorprize session with XRAY car kit as the main doorprize and lot of other good stuff from our sponsors.
